Add/Remove a Party from your account

If you would like to add/ remove a party on your bank account, simply read the conditions below, print out the appropriate form, complete in full and return to the address below (stamp required).

 

  • A request to add/remove a person from your bank account will only be accepted where the account has been conducted satisfactorily and the account is within the agreed overdraft limit.
  • For Cardcash/Easycash customers, the account must hold a credit balance in order to add or remove a person from their account.
  • Where a customer is being removed, both customers must sign the form and confirm by ticking the appropriate boxes that their card and/or cheque book is cancelled and/or destroyed.
  • When adding a person to your account, if they are not an existing Halifax/BOS customer they will need to provide identification. If the identification is being sent in the post, two forms of name and two forms of address verification are required. If you are going to take your forms into branch, only one form of name and one form of address verification is required.  Click here to see acceptable forms of identification.

Returned forms will be processed within 3 weeks from receipt.

Calls from BT landlines to 0845 numbers will cost no more than 2p a minute plus a 7p connection fee.  The price of calls through other phone companies and from mobile phones will be different.  The call price we have quoted was correct in September 2008.
