Losing someone close to you is a particularly difficult and often confusing time.

It can be hard to know where to start.  We understand that you're likely to need advice and support.

Our 'Help and Understanding' booklet has been developed to provide advice on dealing with the estate of a friend or family member.  It also provides guidance about what to do with accounts held with Halifax or Bank of Scotland.

For more help and advice we have a dedicated Bereaved Service Centre.  They can be contacted on 08456 03 32 16.  Lines open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
