Cat Health
We all hope our cats will live a long and healthy life, but we also know there are many cat conditions which could cause them ill health.
Whilst they are not covered by insurance, injections, worming and flea treatments can cause the cost of your veterinarian bills to mount. Cat Insurance can help you with bills for other problems such as unforeseen medical conditions. Find out a little more about a few common ailments:
Ear mites
This cat condition affects most breeds. If your cat is scratching, shaking its head or has very dark waxy ears, it might have ear mites.
Your vet will be able to advise on appropriate medication that is generally easily applied with a pipette.
Feline asthma
A very difficult cat condition to diagnose, although wheezing and coughing may be a sign that asthma is affecting a cat or kitten’s health.
Ringworm
Cats may pick up ringworm from other furry friends such as rats, mice or other cats. Circle-like bald patches may be a sign of this cat condition, covering any area of the body. If so, take your cat to the vet for immediate treatment.
If your cat does have an illness or condition, cat cover from Halifax Pet Insurance can help to reduce any financial concerns you may have.
Expenses due to a cat condition could be covered by our insurance.
Halifax provides wide-ranging insurance with cover from 8 weeks of age and there is no maximum age limit to insure your pet (age restrictions do apply to death by illness). If you get your cat cover online, you'll receive a 5% online discount, and could get an additional 10% discount if you insure more than one pet with Halifax.
