GUARANTEED INVESTMENT PLAN

If you've ever thought of investing in the stock market but have been put off by the risks then this could be the investment for you.

The Guaranteed Investment Plan aims to help the value of your money grow over time with a guarantee to return at least your initial investment (adjusted for any withdrawals) after 5 years.

In addition it guarantees that from day one the value of your plan will never fall below 80% of it's highest value. There’s no upfront charge, just a yearly management fee, so every pound you put in starts working immediately.

So if you have £5,000 or more and are happy to invest it for a minimum of five years the Guaranteed Investment Plan could be right for you.

• It guarantees to return at least the value of your initial investment (adjusted for any withdrawals) after 5 years. If you close the account before this date you may get back less than your investment
•  From day 1 your investment will always be worth a minimum of 80% of its highest value.
• The plan invests in a mix of stocks and shares and fixed interest assets
• If markets experience severe turbulence, the Guaranteed Investment Plan may move all of its shares into fixed interest assets
• You can make withdrawals but if you do, the guarantee is proportionally reduced, based on the value of the investment when the funds are withdrawn
• Current yearly management charge of just 1.75%

As only part of your money is invested in shares, you will not benefit from the full potential of the stock market.
