Halifax Share Dealing is proud to introduce its new Share Price Alert Tool. Our tool helps you to act quickly and stay on top of changing share prices without having to keep a constant eye on the stock markets. The Share Price Alert Tool is an internet application that you will need to open when you turn your computer on if you wish to receive the alerts. Once you have signed into the tool, simply minimise the page and it will pop up when your price has been met.

As the tool is integrated with the Research Centre, you can conduct your market analysis and add UK equities and international stocks to your watchlist as you explore the markets.

How to use the Share Price Alert Tool

• Visit the Halifax Share Dealing Research Centre here.
• Search for the stock you want to watch within the Research Centre and then click 'Add to watchlist'.
• To begin using the tool, click the 'Registration' tab and enter your name, email address and password.
• Choose the company you wish to receive an alert for.
• Select whether you wish to receive your chosen company's latest price or news from the Regulatory News Service (RNS). If you choose our RNS news service, the latest company news will be delivered straight to your email inbox.
• If you wish to watch the latest price, select the options for when you wish the Share Price Alert Tool to notify you. Choose from % or price movements, or even pick a price for the alert to be triggered. A pop up box will alert you when your selected shares hit your target price and an email will be sent to your inbox.
• Once you have registered, we recommend adding the Share Price Alert Tool to your 'favourites' so that it's easily accessible. This can be done by selecting 'Add to Favourites' on the taskbar in the screen window.

Please note that FireFox doesn't fully support the Share Price Alert Tool and therefore recommend that you access it using Internet Explorer.
