We are always testing new features to help our customers get the most out of Online Banking. If you have a form of dyslexia, we would like you to test the readability of 3 fonts. The test should take 5 - 10 minutes and you will have the chance to rate how easy you found each font to read.
You can change the colour of our websites to help make the text clearer to read.
We usually send coloured paper letters on yellow paper. But we can provide different colours. If you get something that’s not on the paper you need, just let us know and we’ll send it again on something more suitable for you.
If it's difficult for you to use a PIN number, we can give you a choice.
To help you read documents in branch, we can provide colour acetate sheets to make the text clearer. Just ask a colleague.
You can select the audio function on a Halifax ATM to have what's on the screen read out to you.
The keypads and screens on our cash machines (ATMs) are also clear and easy to use. We use the Centre for Accessible Environments guidelines to design them.
We're also putting in Talking ATMs as we replace older cash machines. With a Talking ATM you can plug in your headphones and hear what’s on the screen being read out for you.
