Update to our Branch opening hours

Following the Government’s confirmation of new measures to tackle coronavirus (COVID-19), our branches will remain open, but we need to make some changes to our existing services provided and opening hours.

We’re committed to providing essential services, so that you can continue to access cash, and ensuring that those who are vulnerable or in financial difficulty can speak to a colleague.

What this means to you:

We aim to keep as many branches open as we can, subject to the availability of colleagues. In some cases, we therefore may have to temporarily close a branch. To help you understand which branches are affected, we have listed them.

All branches, effective from the 25th March will be open between the hours of 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday.

We have taken the decision not to open branches at weekends.

We will not be operating any of our mobile branch service.

We continue to follow UK Government guidance to ensure the wellbeing of both our colleagues and customers. As a result we only provide essential services in branch, all other activity and interviews will cease.

We’ll make sure our Branches will provide the following core tasks:  

  • Keep cash in our ATMs.
  • Continue to offer a counter service for cash and cheques.
  • Help our vulnerable customers and those people and businesses in financial difficulty.

All our branches now display clear and prominent notices explaining the need to adhere to social distancing. We know this may mean you need to wait longer, or that queues may appear longer due to social distancing rules. In some cases, in smaller branches or where our banking hall is busy, you might need to wait outside a branch in order to keep to safe distances inside.
