I need help with a transaction.
Every completed payment in and out of your account from the last seven years will appear on your online statement. If you see something you don’t recognise, here’s what to do:
Help with multiple transaction dates
From June 2019, debit card payments and refunds will no longer be processed only on working days, Monday to Friday. They may leave or come into your account on any day of the week including weekends and Bank Holidays.
In these scenarios, the transaction details section in Online Banking will display three different dates: the date the transaction occurred, the date your account was debited/credited and the date the transaction appeared on your statement.
Unsure about a card transaction to a retailer?
- Some retailers/businesses may appear on your statement under a different name to the one you know them as
- It’s not uncommon for certain retailers, especially those operating online, to charge an ongoing subscription fee following a free trial period
