Emergency boiler breakdown cover.

Halifax Home Emergency Cover is provided by Allianz Global Assistance.

Emergency Boiler Breakdown Cover can help protect you against loss of heating or hot water due to failure or breakdown of your boiler or main heating system and is provided as part of Home Emergency Cover.

What’s covered?

  • The main central heating and hot water systems of the home, including a domestic boiler
  • So long as your boiler’s been serviced by a registered tradesperson within the last 24 months (proof required), your boiler claim will be considered.

What's not covered?

  • Solar heating systems
  • Non-domestic central heating boilers and their associated pipework and equipment
  • Central heating fuel tanks
  • Any emergency where you have not contacted us within 48 hours of discovery.

Home Emergency Cover is not a servicing or maintenance policy so cover for routine home services or domestic appliance breakdowns is not included. If you have an Ultimate Reward Current Account you will already have Home Emergency Cover. Limits, terms and exclusions apply, see our policy booklet for full details.
