Getting a quote

When you find a policy that looks right for you, it's time to get a quote.

  • First, you'll answer a few questions about your health and wellbeing, just to check that the policy is right for you. If Scottish Widows can't offer you a policy for any reason, they'll let you know how to get more help.
  • Then you'll choose the size of the cash lump sum that will get paid out when a claim is made. You’ll also choose how long you want to be covered.
  • Scottish Widows have made it quick and easy to apply. You won’t need to get a medical check-up or send in extra info. You'll get an instant answer, today.

Job done

Your policy will start the same day you apply and then you'll pay a fixed amount each month until it ends. Your payments will get collected around the same date each month by Direct Debit.

Making a claim

Your policy only pays out if you are diagnosed with an illness covered by your policy before it ends. If that happens, you can submit a claim for the cash lump sum. Scottish Widows tries to make this as quick and smooth as possible, to make sure you and your loved ones get the support you need.
