I want to apply for an interest-free buffer of up to £500

This form is to ask for a temporary interest-free amount of up to £500 on your arranged overdraft if you’re finding it difficult to manage your overdraft borrowing. If your arranged overdraft limit is lower than £500, all of it will be interest-free.

If we approve this request the interest-free buffer will be in place until three months from the end of the month in which we approve your application. We’ll text you to confirm the date this temporary change starts and ends.

This is a temporary concession and doesn’t change the conditions of your arranged overdraft. When this period ends, you will go back to being charged interest under the terms of your arranged overdraft agreement.

If you change your account type during this period then the interest-free buffer will end on the date you make that change.

If your account is currently in collections or you have an agreed repayment plan in place, you will already be receiving support and will not able to apply for the temporary interest-free arranged overdraft amount until this has ended. You’ll also not be able to apply for this interest-free buffer if you have a Student account.

If you submit an application this may prevent any further lending on new or existing accounts or products with Lloyds Banking Group, either for the period that the temporary support for your arranged overdraft is in place, or if your application is unsuccessful for 3 months following the application date.
