Ordering travel / holiday money

Foreign currency and American Express Travellers Cheques can be ordered online and then collected from your local branch. 

Our Travel money section has a currency converter and also lists what currencies are available to order.

Ordering your holiday money
Sign in to the online service and from 'My accounts' select the account you wish to pay for your order from.

From the 'Take me to' dropdown menu select 'Order holiday money' and click 'Go', or select 'Order holiday money' from the left hand side of your 'Recent transactions' page.

The 'Collection' page will automatically set the collection branch as the branch closest to your address. To choose a different branch for order collection, just enter the postcode, click search, then select a branch from those displayed in the dropdown box. 

You can use our branch finder to choose a suitable collection branch.

When you submit your completed order, you'll be given a confirmation number – keep this safe as you'll need it when you collect your order.

Collecting your holiday money
When you visit your branch to collect your order, you'll need to take your order confirmation number, and suitable identification such as your savings passbook or bank account card.  A driving licence or passport will be accepted as identification where the order is from an account such as a Web Saver with no passbook or card.

If the account used to pay for the order requires more than one signature to withdraw funds, then both account signatories must be present when collecting the order.

Collection / delivery times
Holiday money orders completed before 3pm Monday to Thursday will be available for collection at your chosen branch after 2pm on the following bank working day.  Orders placed on a Friday before 3pm will be available for collection after 2pm the following Monday.

Orders completed after 3pm, or on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday will be available for collection at your chosen branch after 2pm on the second bank working day.

Please note that delivery may take slightly longer to more remote branch locations.
