Paper-free banking

If you bank online, you can choose to receive most of your statements and letters online instead of by post!

No more hunting around the house for old paper statements – by receiving and storing them securely online, you'll always know where they are, and if you do need a paper version you can simply print one out for yourself.

Documents that you can receive 'Paper-free':

• Bank account statements and most letters
• Credit card statements (including notice of default sums)
• Credit card account condition changes
• Selected savings account statements

To help you manage your accounts using Paper-free banking:

• We'll notify you by email when a new document is available to view online
• Your statements and other documents will be stored securely online for up to 2 years
• Your online statements will look the same as your paper statements
• Save your statements into Microsoft Money or spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel)

We notify you by email whenever a new document is available to view online so it's very important that we always have your up-to-date email address.  If you do change your email address, our online banking help section shows you  how to update your email address for online banking purposes.

How to sign up for Paper-free banking
To start receiving your documents paper-free, just follow the steps below and join over 2 million customers who have already chosen to use this great service:

• Sign in to your online banking service
• From 'My accounts' choose 'My preferences' from the left hand side of the page
• Choose 'Document settings'
• Select 'Online' as the method of delivery for your chosen account
• Click the 'Update' button
