What can I do online?
Your new Online Banking service has many new features:
- Quick links to all your payments and transfers
- Mini-statements showing your latest transactions on the first screen
- Enhanced bank and savings statements available in just one click
- For added security you’ll be asked to enter your password again when you set up, amend or cancel a payment, or change your personal details

By choosing to manage your accounts online, you have the convenience of being able to carry out most of your banking needs quickly and safely, when it suits you, from the comfort of your home, work or wherever you have access to the internet.
Over 3 million of our customers are already using it. Here's what you can do when you choose to manage your accounts online:
Online services for your bank account:
- View your current and available balances
- View all your transactions for the last 6 years
- Pay your bills
- Transfer money to external accounts and set up standing orders
- Transfer money between your banking and savings accounts*
- Transfer money overseas
- Request a new overdraft, or request an increased limit for an existing overdraft (subject to status)
- View or cancel any Direct Debits set up on your account
- Order Travel money – collect it from your local branch or have it delivered to your door
Online services for your credit card:
- View your balance and any recent transactions – these will appear on your next statement
- Pay your monthly bills online if you have a bank account with us
- Transfer balances from other credit or store cards
- Download your transactions into money management tools such as Microsoft Money using .QIF or .CSV format
- Rename your account
Online services for your savings account:
For selected* savings accounts, you can
- View all your transactions for the last 2 years
- Transfer money to external accounts and set up standing orders
- Transfer money between your savings* and banking accounts
- Rename your account
*Subject to account conditions.
To help keep track of your finances, you can also:
- View the balance of any Halifax unsecured personal loans**
- Buy and sell shares with our Share Dealing service
- View your Mortgage account details
**Only loans with roll numbers starting 7/ can be viewed online
