Accidental Damage Cover
It’s no accident that Halifax gives you extra protection
Halifax always gives you extra and our Accidental Damage cover is no exception. Our Buildings and Contents policies provide cover for accidental damage to certain items as standard, and you can extend your policy to cover all those unintentional and unexpected accidents.
Buildings Insurance covers the following as standard;
- Accidental damage to underground services that you're legally responsible for
- Breakage of glass or sanitary ware which is fixed to and forming part of your home.
This can be extended to cover;
- Any damage not caused on purpose to the buildings of your home; such as damage to walls arising from DIY accidents, or damage to your kitchen work surfaces
- We can even cover damage caused by the family pets.
While our Contents Insurance covers things such as;
- Accidental damage to TVs, DVD players, games consoles, and computer equipment in the home up to the value of the high risk items on your policy schedule.
- Accidental breakage of class in furniture and mirrors in the home.
This can also be extended to cover;
- Burns, tears, or spillages to carpets and furniture. So if you accidentally spill coffee or wine on to your sofa or carpets, you're covered
- We can also cover damage to your contents caused by the family pets.
Additional cover can be arranged including Contents Plus, Home Emergency, Legal Expenses, and Personal Belongings.
