While Halifax Buildings Insurance automatically covers the full cost of rebuilding your home, Halifax Contents Insurance covers just about everything else. All those treasured possessions, the little things that make a house a home, are covered for the cost of repairing or replacing them on a new for old basis (certain limits apply to single articles and high risk items). And while the cover is generous, the cost is kept low.

And Halifax always gives you extra:

• Contents are repaired or replaced at their full value on a new for old basis
• Food in the freezer, up to £500, is covered automatically
• £250 cover for visitors’ belongings
• Up to £2,000 cover for downloaded electronic data
• Cover for up to £5,000 worth of office equipment
• Up to £500 cover for contents in the open such as plants and garden equipment
• Accidental damage to TV, video, audio, satellite receiving equipment and computer equipment, glass in furniture and mirrors
• Up to 5 years’ (30%) No Claims Discount – with the option to protect the discount
• We can transfer claims-free years
• An additional 5% discount on buildings and contents insurance if you buy them together

Additional cover can be arranged including Buildings and Contents Accidental Damage, Home Emergency, Legal Expenses, and Personal Belongings.
