Buildings Insurance

Halifax Buildings Insurance automatically gives you unlimited cover on your home.

With Halifax you can be sure you’ve got truly comprehensive cover. Your home, the garage, and the outbuildings (sheds, etc) are all covered for the full cost of rebuilding so you'll never be under-insured should the worst happen. You also get cover for walls, paths, drives, patios, terraces, fences, hedges, and gates. Many people now have solar panels and wind turbines, so they’re covered too, as are your fixtures and fittings.

Contents Insurance

Halifax Contents Insurance gives you complete peace of mind.

All those treasured possessions, the little things that make a house a home, are covered for the cost of repairing or replacing them on a new for old basis (certain limits apply to single articles and high risk items). And while the cover is generous, the cost is kept low.

Home Emergency Cover

Home Emergency Cover protects you against the cost of emergency repairs to make your home safe and secure and prevent further damage to your property following an unexpected event, such as a gas leak or a break-in. Cover is provided for up to £500 per claim, and covers the cost of call-out charges, labour and materials. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and there's no excess to pay should you need to make a claim. What's more, home emergency claims don't affect your no claims discount.

Legal Expenses Cover

With Legal Expenses Cover, you and your family are covered for the cost of negotiating for or defending your legal rights. Cover is provided up to £50,000 per insured incident and Legal Expenses claims do not affect your home insurance No Claims Discount. You also get access to a 24 hour legal advice helpline.
