Legally yours
You will have already agreed the redemption figure given by your existing lender so once the search results have been received, the monies from your new lender can be used to repay the existing lender as well as any fees incurred and previously agreed. If there is any money left over, you will be reimbursed, usually by cheque or bank transfer.
If you are using Halifax for your legal services, we will do this for you. If not, you’ll need to appoint a solicitor or conveyancer to deal with all the legal aspects. Find a solicitor.
