Transferring your ISA is easy - all you need to do is:

  • Open a Halifax cash ISA, if you don't already have one
  • Complete and return a transfer request form (pdf) to us at the address below or return it to your local branch:

Once you've opened your account and we have received your transfer request form, here's what we promise:

Step 1 – We transfer your ISA 
  • Return the form to us and our transfer team will request funds from your existing provider
  • You'll earn interest from the day we receive your transfer form provided that your funds are free to transfer. You simply need to tell us how much you are transferring

Step 2 – We complete the transfer and make sure your new account is up and running
  • We aim to complete the transfer process within 15 working days of receiving your completed transfer application form
  • If you have requested a fixed rate ISA we will fix the rate from the day the account is opened
  • We will write to you to confirm the transfer is complete
