Change your number

It is simple with our Mobile Banking app. It’s speedy, saves time and can be done in just a few easy steps.

To change your phone number

  • Sign in

    First you’ll need to sign in to the app.

    Go to ‘Your Profile’

    Select the 'menu' icon in the top right hand corner of the app.

    Select ‘Personal details’

    Select ‘Change my details under ‘Your personal details’.

    Choose contact numbers

    Select ‘Change phone number’ under 'Your contact details’. 

    Update your phone number

    From here, you can add and update all of your phone numbers.

    All done

    That's it, you've updated your number. The change will take place immediately. 

Sign in

First you’ll need to sign in to the app.

‘Profile and settings’

Select the 'menu' icon in the top right hand corner of the app.

My contact details

Select edit next to your number and then follow the on-screen commands.

All done

That's it, you've updated your number. The change will take place immediately. You'll see the change next time you sign in.

Other ways to change your number

  • You can drop into one of our branches.

  • Call us on 0345 720 3040 (+44 113 242 1984 from outside the UK). Lines are open 8am – 8pm, seven days a week.

    Not all Telephone Banking services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

    To change your number over the phone you will need to be registered for Telephone Banking. We will also need to confirm that it's you by asking you for one of the following:

    • Telephone Banking security number
    • Telephone Banking password
    • Voice ID

    You can also call via the Mobile Banking app where we will ask you to verify it's you via the app.

Mobile Banking: We don’t charge you for Mobile Banking but your mobile operator may charge for some services, please check with them. Services may be affected by phone signal and functionality. You must be registered for Online Banking. Terms and conditions apply.

Mobile Banking app: Our Mobile Banking app is available to Online Banking customers with a UK personal account and valid registered phone number. Our app is available to iPhone and Android users only and minimum operating systems apply, so check the App Store or Google Play for details. Our app does not work on jailbroken or rooted devices. Device registration required.
