You can do this online
- Save money on the go when you pay with your Halifax debit card.
- We'll round what you spend to the nearest pound.
- We'll transfer the change to your nominated savings account the next working day (as long as you're in credit).
To use Save the Change® you’ll need an eligible Halifax Bank current and savings account (PDF, 43KB)
How to do it
Let us show you step by step.

- Sign in and type Save the Change® in the search bar.
- Select Set up Save the Change®.
- Select a personal account you have with us, which has a Visa debit card. Save the Change® only works if you also have a savings account.
- Select an eligible savings account.
- All done. You can switch it off at any time.

- Select Save the Change®.

Get set up online
The Halifax brand is changing to Lloyds
If you don’t currently use online or mobile banking, you can start using the Lloyds app now to see your existing Halifax accounts. Once you’ve downloaded it, you can set it up using your Halifax account details.
