- We rely on the organisations you pay by direct debit with to change their records.
- We rely on the organisations you pay by direct debit and your previous bank or building society to be prompt. If they do not respond quickly, this could delay the process of switching your bank account to us.
- Your employer or pension provider is responsible for changing their records and paying your salary or pension into your new account.

If you already have a current account with us and want to switch to a different Halifax current account, print off and fill in the switching forms and post them to Halifax, PO Box 548, Leeds, LS1 1WU. Or ask for the switching forms in a branch or over the phone (call 08457 20 30 40).
Calls from BT landlines to 0845 numbers will cost no more than 4p a minute plus a 6p connection fee. The price of calls through other phone companies and from mobile phones will be different. The call prices quoted above were correct in June 2008.
