Here’s some useful information about balance transfers. A balance transfer allows you to move balances from most credit (excludes other Halifax cards) and some store cards onto your Halifax credit card. In the majority of cases this will mean that you pay a lower rate of interest on that balance, which could save you money.

    • The minimum transfer amount is £100 and a transfer fee may apply
    • To keep benefiting from any applicable promotional offers, you’ll need to stay within your credit limit and make your minimum payment on time each month
    • Promotional offers only apply to new balances transferred
    • Promotional offers are exclusive to certain customers, so if you receive a promotional code and someone else tries to use it, it won’t be accepted.
