This offer was available by opening either a Halifax Stocks and Shares ISA, Share Dealing Account, an 18-25 Stocks and Shares ISA or an 18-25 Share Dealing Account between 01 July 2025 and 30 September 2025.

How to get this offer

This offer applies to new customers only and:

  • isn't available if you closed your Halifax Share Dealing Account within the last 90 days of applying for a new account
  • doesn't apply to Ready-Made Investment Accounts, Ready-Made Investment ISAs, Ready-Made Pensions or SIPPs
  • your account must remain open until at least 01 June 2026 to receive the refund of commission
  • your account must contain a balance of either stock or cash on 01 June 2026 to be eligible for the refund of commission
  • customers must be 18 or over and resident in the UK. 

Keep in mind - accounts where a request has been made to transfer the contents to another provider before the refund will not be eligible for the refund of commission.

Qualifying trades

We'll refund any dealing commission on investment purchases up to £50, including:

  • TradePlan purchases
  • real-time purchases
  • purchases made during the commission countdown. 

We won't refund commission from sales.

The dealing commission is the fee for executing your trade. For online trades, it's £9.50. For telephone trades, the fee is £25. Trades placed during the commission countdown are £3.50.

Dealing commission is payable on UK shares, funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), investment trusts, bonds and gilts.

Trades from a regular investment plan and international trades are not subject to commission and not part of the offer.

This offer does not apply to foreign exchange charge of 1.25% applied on international trades.

This offer does not apply to stamp duty or PTM levy’s.

You must place qualifying trades before 01 January 2026, any orders must be submitted by 23:59 on 31 December 2025.

For this offer, Halifax Share Dealing considers a trade to be placed when it receives the order.

You can place qualifying buys in any of the following accounts:

  • Halifax Stocks and Shares ISA.
  • Share Dealing Account.
  • 18-25 Stocks and Shares ISA.
  • 18-25 Share Dealing Account.

Commission paid on dividend reinvestments is not eligible for refund. 

The £50 maximum refund is per customer and not per account.

If you meet the terms of the offer, your refund will be due and payable on 08 June 2026. The refund will be paid into your Halifax Share Dealing Account.
