What to do before you travel
The Halifax brand is changing to Lloyds
If you use the Halifax app and online banking you’ll be able to continue to use Halifax travel services. We’ll invite you to start using the Lloyds app, the Lloyds app and online banking are similar to Halifax, so it should feel familiar and just as easy to use.
Get sorted before you go
Whether you're going for work or fun, we've got some tips to make your trip smoother.
Here's a summary:
- Check overseas fees. Did you know there's no card fees from us on our Ultimate Reward Current Account?
- Order travel money if you need it.
- Make sure you're covered by travel insurance.
- Download and sign up for our Mobile Banking app.
Get your cards ready
- You no longer have to tell us when you are travelling abroad. Our fraud and security systems are always on the lookout for suspicious activity on your accounts meaning you can relax when you are away making going abroad stress free. Please be aware though, that our Fraud and Security systems may still stop payments you are making whilst abroad if they suspect they may be fraudulent.
- Check the expiry date on your card.
- Download our app to manage your card. Turn off Abroad Freeze, view your PIN and more.
- Take another form of payment in case of emergency. How you looked at our travel money rates?
- Check and update your contact details online in case we need to get in touch.
- Save our contact numbers in case you need to get in touch.
