Changing your Halifax current account to Lloyds current account

Yes. In the Lloyds app or Lloyds online banking, we'll show you the Lloyds current accounts available to you. Any change is subject to eligibility, and not all Lloyds current accounts are available to change to straight away.

Your account number, sort code, regular payments, debit card PIN, FSCS protection and any arranged overdraft limit will stay the same. You'll also receive a new Lloyds debit card and have access to features in the Lloyds app.

Not all Lloyds current accounts are available to change to just yet, so the account you're looking for may not be available at the moment. We're adding more accounts over time, and eventually you'll be able to choose from a wider range of Lloyds current accounts depending on your eligibility. If you'd prefer an account that's not currently shown, you may be able to apply for it as an additional account instead, subject to eligibility.

Your arranged overdraft will move with you, including your overdraft limit, interest rate and outstanding balance. As you can choose which Lloyds current account to move to, the interest-free amount on your overdraft may be different depending on the account you select. We'll explain any differences before you complete the change.
