Every month, our Halifax Savers Prize Draw makes three lucky savers £100,000 better off. To celebrate 10 years of the draw, we’re supersizing it. That means we’re giving away ten top prizes of £100,000.
Since we first launched the prize draw in 2011, there have been over 160,000 winners and we’ve given away over £75 million in prizes. This time, it really could be you.
What you could win
Are you a lucky winner?
If you’re one of our lucky winners, we’ll be in touch using the details we have for you.

How does the prize draw work?
The Halifax Savers Prize Draw is free to enter and signing up is quick and easy. All you need to do is register once through the Halifax Prize Draw Hub in Online Banking. We'll add your name to the prize draw when you hold £5,000 or more in your qualifying savings accounts for at least the whole calendar month before each draw and meet all qualifying conditions. All prize winners are selected at random, and we'll let you know if your name is chosen.
Is there a closing date?
There isn't a set closing date. Our Halifax Prize Draws could end at any time, usually with at least 2 months’ notice.
Is it free to enter?
Yes, registering and taking part will not cost you anything. It's our way of rewarding you for saving. When you're saving £5,000 or more in your qualifying accounts you will be entered into the draw.
Do all accounts qualify?
When we check whether you have £5,000 or more we don't count money in savings accounts held for children, or for businesses, organisations or charities. Please see the Halifax Savers' Prize Draw rules (PDF, 60KB) for more details of the qualifying accounts.
What about joint accounts?
Joint accounts qualify for the Halifax Prize Draw and if you both want to enter the draw, each of you will need to register separately.
We split the money in any joint accounts equally when we work out your total savings balance. For example, Mr. Smith has £6,000 in a joint account with one other person. £3,000 of this balance goes towards Mr. Smith's total amount. He also has £2,000 in an account on his own. This makes his total balance £5,000, so he qualifies for the draw.
Do I need to register for every prize draw?
No, you only need to register once. We'll add your name to the prize draw every month, when you meet all the qualifying rules. You need to register separately for the Savers Prize Draw and the Mortgage Prize Draw.
What are my odds of winning?
They change each month, depending on how many entries we receive, but we give away 1,603 prizes in the Savers Prize Draw in a normal month.
Can I win more than once?
Yes you could, but not in the same draw, in the same month. Each entrant has one chance to win each month, but it is possible for your name to be chosen again in later months if you meet the qualifying rules.
How do I find out if I've won?
If you're selected in the draw, we'll write to you within a month using the address we have for you. We could also call or email you if we have these details.
Before we confirm any winners, we can ask to see proof of identity, age, and residency. How will I receive my prize?
If you're lucky enough to win usually we'll pay your prize into your Halifax or Bank of Scotland account. We'll do this within three working days of confirming your prize. In some cases we may need to ask you to visit a branch to confirm your details and collect your prize.
Why can’t I enter the draw if I live in Northern Ireland or abroad?
We can only offer these prize draws in England, Wales and Scotland. Different laws apply in Northern Ireland and other jurisdictions, so unfortunately we can't offer these prize draws to anyone living there.
In the future if we’re satisfied that the law in Northern Ireland has changed, we may allow customers living there to take part in the draws. When we check if you live abroad, our policy is not to count short term absences of up to 3 months, for example, if you're on holiday. Can I see a list of winners?
Yes, you can ask for a list of the winners for the last 6 months in any of our branches.
