The amount of excess varies and will be confirmed during the quotation process before you purchase and shown in your certificate and schedule once you purchase your insurance. The excess is the first part of any claim you must pay. For glass/windscreen claims the full excess is applicable.
Once you’ve purchased your cover you can only extend the duration of your policy as long as your circumstances remain the same. You’ll need to cancel the cover and purchase again if your circumstances change.
You’re insured from the date and time you entered when you received your quote and purchased your policy. Your insurance certificate should arrive within 15-30 minutes – this is your proof of insurance. If you don’t receive it, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can purchase a policy for up to 30 days. If you need cover for a longer period, you will need to repurchase another policy to start on the end date. It may be that an annual policy could be more suitable to meet your needs.
Yes you are. All policies cover business use, for example: Borrowing a car for work on a day-by-day basis, travelling to conferences, meetings and training sessions away from your usual place of work, needing a bigger vehicle to transport extra equipment or large items or borrowing a vehicle when your business vehicle is in the garage for repairs.
The policy only covers the main short term driver, who must hold a full GB driving licence. This will not cover delivery use, door-to-door sales or taxi usage. It also cannot be used on hired vehicles.
The policy also excludes use for Hire and Reward.
Yes. Our insurance includes third-party cover for a trip to countries within the EU, EEA and Switzerland automatically if the car is in the UK when the insurance starts and finishes.

You can cancel your policy at any time if there have been no claims or incidents likely to give rise to a claim. You’ll be entitled to a refund of the unused premium.
If you cancel the policy before it starts, you’ll get a full refund of the premium. If you cancel the policy after it’s started, we’ll recalculate your insurance premium based on the date your policy started until the date you cancelled it. We’ll refund you the difference between the recalculated insurance premium and the insurance premium you already paid. The cost of a short-term policy will be proportionally more than a longer-term policy, so you may receive less than you expect. We won’t be able to refund you for days or part days you’ve used.
We don’t provide cover to secure the release of a seized vehicle, or for loss or damage following confiscation or requisition or destruction by or under order of any government or public or local authority.
