You can cancel your policy at any time if there have been no claims or incidents likely to give rise to a claim. You’ll be entitled to a refund of the unused premium.

If you cancel the policy before it starts, you’ll get a full refund of the premium. If you cancel the policy after it’s started, we’ll recalculate your insurance premium based on the date your policy started until the date you cancelled it. We’ll refund you the difference between the recalculated insurance premium and the insurance premium you already paid. The cost of a short-term policy will be proportionally more than a longer-term policy, so you may receive less than you expect. We won’t be able to refund you for days or part days you’ve used.

  • We don’t provide cover to secure the release of a seized vehicle, or for loss or damage following confiscation or requisition or destruction by or under order of any government or public or local authority.
