Budget tool

Keeping track of your income and spending can sometimes be tricky. To help our customers get on top of their finances, we have designed a handy budgeting tool.

Before you begin

You'll need to key in your income and spending, so have any paperwork to hand that will help with this, such as bank statements or utility bills. Being prepared means it should only take around 20 minutes to complete.

Rest assured, everything you enter is completely confidential.

As well as completing the form at an individual level, you can also get the full picture of your household's finances. In the tool you'll be asked to complete your:

  • Sources of income
  • Essential expenditure - things like mortgage or rent, council tax or transport
  • Arrears or debts - for example on credit cards and loans
  • Discretionary spending - like going to the cinema or gym membership.

Once you've done that you'll be provided with a summary of your income and spending, showing the difference between the two, which you can print out and keep. There's also a list of useful contacts on the budgeting tool, should you need further advice or guidance on managing your money.
