Reporting a lost or stolen card

Lost or stolen debit card? If you're registered for Online Banking, you can report it online or on the Halifax Banking mobile app by filling in our simple form. We’ll cancel your card and send you a replacement.

Problems with your card?

You can request a replacement card using Online Banking or the Halifax Mobile Banking app.

After you have requested your replacement debit card, if you log on to the mobile banking app the next day you will be able to view your new card details. You can use your new card details to shop online whilst you wait for your physical card to arrive in the post.

You can also view your PIN in the Mobile Banking app if you need a reminder of it.

You can also request a replacement PIN if you’ve forgotten it or are having issues.

Disputing a debit card payment

If a payment has been made on your account and you don't think it's correct we may be able to help you with claiming the payment back.

Cashback Extras

  • Ensure your cards do not expire when you are away. Please check your expiry date.
  • Take another form of payment in case of emergency.
  • Ensure your contact details are up to date so we can contact you if we are concerned there may be fraudulent activity on your account - update here.
