Get up to £2,000 cashback and a free Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
With Green Living Reward, qualifying mortgage customers could claim one of these rewards:
- £2,000 cashback for a heat pump.
- £1,000 cashback for solar panels or a battery.
- £500 cashback for other energy-efficient home improvements. Exclusions apply.
- After you receive the cashback, we'll offer you a free optional Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your home.

To qualify for the Green Living Reward, which we'll refer to as the reward:
- You must have received a mortgage illustration as part of the full mortgage application process after the 31st July 2024.
- Complete an eligible home improvement within one year of completing your Halifax mortgage, additional borrowing or new deal.
- Be a residential customer only, the offer excludes buy-to-let applications.
- Have a Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account.
- You need to send your final invoice that shows payment for one of the following:
- Purchase
- Remortgage
- Product transfer
- Further advance
- Upload your invoice to your Green Living journey.
- Qualifying mortgage customers can only receive one reward per mortgage product.
- UK wide including Northern Ireland.
To redeem the free Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) offer, you must:
- Receive a successful claim confirmation in your Green Living journey.
- Schedule an EPC assessment directly with our selected supplier in your Green Living journey.
You have three months after a successful claim to schedule the assessment, plus an extra month for the assessment to take place.
You need to carry out the EPC assessment on the property where you claimed your Green Living Reward.
Other important information
Halifax aren’t responsible for the improvements carried out by the supplier you pick. Halifax doesn't guarantee the supplier's work quality by releasing the funds. It’s up to you to make sure you’re happy with any improvements carried out. Halifax can't guarantee the work costs, potential savings, or effect on your EPC rating. You’re responsible for making your own decision.

Cashback offer for energy-efficient homes
Are you buying an energy-efficient home or switching your mortgage to us from another lender? You could earn £250 cashback.

To qualify:
- For customers who complete on a qualifying mortgage.
- Maximum loan to value 95%.
- You'll receive cashback when you complete the mortgage. You can claim it through your conveyancer.
- You need a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) listed on the government EPC register. This certificate must show that your property has an A or B rating.
- When you explore new build properties, you won't see an EPC rating on the government database. Be sure to ask the builder for a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA).
- Excludes buy-to-let applications, product transfers, and additional borrowing on your current Halifax mortgage.
